So how does this work?
One month in, this soft-launch of JEM has been an exercise in laying a foundation. Moving on from here, the output of content and conversation will truly be focused on the mission of engaging with enjoyment. There are lots of things to talk about, and honestly it’s daunting to know where to start.
I have an image, unclear, but solid. Like feeling my way through a room in the middle of the night. I can’t see every detail, but if I keep my hands steady in front of me and make focused, deliberate moves, I have confidence I can make it. More than just make it, I can find the switch to turn on the lights.
That’s what JEM is right now. It’s a room full of not just potential, but possibilities - very distinct possibilities. And the key to that is you. If you’re here, you are part of the potential possibilities of what this thing can be, and most importantly the inevitability of what it will be. This passion for loving entertainment is personal, but it’s not private. That is the whole point. I want to share this.
The goal of creating a new platform is always to stand out - you want to be unique, you want to have that it factor which sets you apart. For JEM, that’s the enjoyment. What I hope to see is a place where positivity and respect, and general goodwill thrive. More than thrive, blossom. I want this outlet to grow beyond small conversations into something that spreads. And to do that, I need more than just me.
Starting out, I have some friends of the channel, content creators that have their own platforms and their own things to say, who have agreed to lend their unique voices to JEM’s unique approach. What I want to see is for that kind of collaboration and community to breathe life into more collaboration in a growing community. And that means you. Join us in the conversation. Tell us what you’re enjoying. Tell me all the reasons you loved something I haven’t talked about yet. Maybe I haven’t got around to it. Or maybe it wasn’t for me but you now have the chance to show me how it could be. That’s what JEM is here for.
